Terms of Use — Project Amon (private beta)

Draft for review. Last updated: 2026-08-14

⚖️ A working draft. Replace every [BRACKET], and have a lawyer read it before
anyone outside your circle signs up. Liability limits in particular vary by
jurisdiction and consumer law may override parts of this.

1. What you are agreeing to

By creating an account you accept these terms. If you do not, do not sign up. Amon is operated by [YOUR LEGAL NAME / COMPANY], [ADDRESS], contact [YOUR EMAIL].

2. This is a beta

Plainly: it is unfinished software. It may break, lose data, send a reminder at the wrong time, or fail to send one at all. It is provided free, without any service level, and we may change or stop it at any time. Do not rely on it for anything that matters. Do not use it as the only reminder for medication, a flight, an exam, a court date, or anything else where missing it causes real harm. Keep a second alarm for those. If we could make that instruction blink, we would.

3. Your account

else has access.

4. Your content

Everything you put in — tasks, plans, notes to the assistant — stays yours. We claim no ownership. You give us only the permission needed to run the service: to store it, show it back to you, sync it to your devices, and process it to build your plan and send your reminders. Nothing else. We do not use it to train models, we do not sell it, we do not show it to anyone. You are responsible for having the right to store what you store, and for not using Amon for anything unlawful.

5. What we ask you not to do

[YOUR EMAIL]. We will thank you properly. Please do not publish it before we have had a fair chance to fix it.)

We may suspend an account that does these things. If we suspend yours we will tell you why unless we are legally prevented.

6. The AI assistant

Amon can suggest changes to your day. It suggests; you decide. Nothing is written to your plan without you accepting it, and every change is reversible. Its suggestions can be wrong. It has no judgement about your life. It is not advice — medical, legal, financial or otherwise. If you are struggling with your health or your workload, talk to a person, not a scheduler.

7. Availability

There is none promised. The service runs on one small server. It will go down. Reminders queued while it is down may never arrive.

8. Ending it

You: delete your account whenever you like, from Settings. Everything goes. Us: we may close your account or end the beta with reasonable notice — or immediately if you breach section 5. If we end the beta we will give you time to export your data first.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Amon is provided "as is", with no warranties, and we are not liable for anything you lose by relying on it — missed appointments, missed deadlines, lost data, lost income, or consequential loss of any kind. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected. Because the beta is free, any liability that cannot be excluded is limited to [AMOUNT, e.g. €100].

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be shown in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Amon afterwards means you accept them.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], and the courts of [JURISDICTION] have exclusive jurisdiction — except that if you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you keep the protection of your local law and may sue in your local courts.
